ART SPECIAL: a programme of BAN »Bildungslandschaft Altstadt Nord« has been initiated, facilitated and supported by the Hansa-Gymnasium, both in terms of its content and organisationally. BAN is a network of four schools and two youth centres initiated by the Cologne City council, and both Montag-Foundations “Jugend und Gesellschaft” [Youth and Society] as well as »Urbane Räume« [Urban Environments]. BAN is sponsored by two federal ministries BMVBS/Bundesministerium für Verkehr, Bau und Stadtentwicklung and BBR/Bundesamt für Bauwesen und Raumordnung.
